Intercision

'Intercision' were a group of paintings that I made in 2007-8, each being two images apparently spliced
together; I thought of them more as being pulled apart - breakup paintings.

The title refers to the process by which an individual is separated from his soul in Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy.
