The twelve Tongues (or rimming paintings) have emerged from a tendency I observed in recent sketchbooks towards kissing, licking, and rimming; bonding activities that could be considered sexual, and also analogous to, and anthropomorphising, chemical processes. These dramas are staged in strange rooms with striped walls and perspectival floors, made of the Pox Patterns.
